چکیده
Atopic dermatitis (AD) is one of the most common chronic relapsing in lammatory skin and allergic diseases [1-3]. AD refers to socially signi icant diseases. This disease retains its clinical signs for many years, it is often transformed into bronchial asthma with a severe atopic syndrome or into a systemic disease damaging not only the skin, but also internal organs such as digestive, respiratory, urinary systems [4,5]. The search for effective preventive and curative drugs aimed to improve the quality of life of patients with AD is one of the important problems for allergists, immunologists, dermatologists [6].

Pathogenesis of Atopic Dermatitis: Current Paradigm
Atopic dermatitis (AD) is characterized by skin inflammation, barrier dysfunction and chronic pruritus. In this review, recent advances in the pathogenesis of AD are summarized. Clinical efficacy of the anti-IL-4 receptor antibody dupilumab implies that type 2 cytokines IL-4 and IL-13 have pivotal roles in atopic inflammation. The expression of IL-4 and IL-13 as well as type 2 chemokines such a...
متن کاملSerum Cytokine Profiles in Infants with Atopic Dermatitis.
Atopic dermatitis (AD) in infancy is believed to have distinct features as compared to AD in other age groups, and little is known about cytokine production in infants with AD. We aimed to measure the serum cytokine levels of infants with atopic dermatitis and evaluate the association of new anti-inflammatory cytokines with the disease. Eighty-one infant patients with AD and 52 healthy controls...
متن کاملA short review on immunology of Atopic dermatitis
Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a pruritic, relapsing, chronic disease that arises most commonly during infancy, childhood, or adolescence. It is clear that genetic factors are important in AD, a family history of AD, allergic rhinitis, and/or asthma and other “Atopic” phenomena being common in patient with AD. The two main pathogenetic characteristic of AD are: I) IgE-mediated antigen dependent “Spe...
متن کاملCanine atopic/allergic dermatitis in Mashhad (North-East of Iran): clinical observations
The aim of this study was to elucidate the prevalence of canine atopic/allergic dermatitis in Mashhad (North-East of Iran) in a hospital-population of dogs and to evaluate its clinical features according to the diagnostic criteria of the disease by Willemse and Prélaud. Among 111 canine patients with dermatologic problems, admitted to Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Veterinary Teaching Hospital...
متن کاملIn vitro interleukin 4 and interferon-gamma production by mononuclear cells from atopic dermatitis patients
In order to elucidate further the possible role of specific cytokines in the pathogenesis of atopic dermatitis (AD) the in vitro production of interleukin 4 (IL-4) and interferon-gamma (IFN-gamma) in patients with severe atopic dermatitis (n = 4) was compared with that in a group of non-atopic healthy controls. Overall IL-4 production by PHA- and PWM-driven PBMNCs was increased in controls duri...
